3.1 Hospital system and emergencies
Surveillance systems and patient geolocation have already been mentioned. The most frequent geomatics application in the organization of emergencies concerns the interventions of the SAMU emergency medical service and the SMUR mobile emergency and resuscitation services. The location of the patient determines which teams will be dispatched, and the patient's destination in the event of hospitalization. The patient's pathology will also help to direct him or her to the nearest, most appropriate center capable of receiving the patient in an emergency.
This data analysis also enables us to plan the necessary equipment. This is the basis for drawing up "white" emergency plans
