3. Review and outlook

The arrival of the SATTs may have been unsettling, but their integration into the ecosystem has been successful, and results are beginning to show. Quantitative results are progressing, and the nine SATTs that began operations in 2011-2012 have successfully completed their first three-year evaluation.

3.1 Encouraging results

According to the figures presented on the SATT.fr website, almost 8,000 projects have been analyzed since the start of the program, 1,700 patents filed, 500 licenses granted and 1,173 start-ups created from technologies managed by the SATTs. These results, while respectable, cannot yet be compared with those achieved in North America or the UK. This is to be expected.
