2. Implementing the SATT system

Having taken up the challenge of setting up, ex nihilo, one of France's fourteen SATTs, SATT Grand Centre, which was regionally extensive and relied on 21 public research establishments, including seven major universities, it is my duty to share my experience here. My vision and the nature of the challenges and successes of this project are colored by my North American experience of more than ten years managing technology transfer offices at McGill University in Montreal and Western Ontario in London.
