 INTRODUCTION

Usually, the worlds of innovation and change are completely separate. One of the reasons for this is undoubtedly that work on innovation management has more often than not been carried out by R&D specialists, while that on change management has been done by management consultants or professors. However, in recent approaches to innovation, organizational innovations are also clearly positioned alongside product and process innovations. It is against this backdrop that this article will give a detailed presentation of the recent discipline of change management and its various approaches, as well as the steps taken to take into account and manage innovations in organizations at different levels. In addition, while the management of product and process innovations has developed into a discipline known as "innovation management", it will also be shown how certain approaches to change management can make a valuable contribution to greater integration of the various elements of innovation management in organizations. These elements will provide the reader with the keys to identifying and successfully managing the ever-increasing number of changes facing his or her organization, as well as enabling him or her to revisit innovation management practices.
