In order to identify the need for a frame of reference on aesthetic taste, it may be useful to consider the various issues that aesthetics represents in today's world. This will also give a first idea of the complexity of the issue.

2.1 Economic and social

As Raymond Loewy once said, "Ugliness sells poorly", thus affirming the economic consequences of a lack of interest that sometimes goes as far as refusal, testifying to a real malaise caused by the image conveyed by a product that is nevertheless useful.
