To complete the study, it would be advisable to continue the leaching experiments, but by raising the temperature above 30 ˚C to find out the limits of the process. Outdoor application also requires good resistance to biological infestation (algae, fungi, insects). Tests are currently being carried out by the ARC-Nucléart laboratory to determine the effect of the treatment against attacks from certain fungal sources, particularly lignivores according to international standard EN 113. Impregnating the wood's microfibrils with a hydrophobic resin could hinder the development of living organisms.

In terms of industrialization of the process, the applications currently targeted are wood flooring, in particular wide-plank solid parquet, which is particularly sensitive to air humidity, and exterior joinery (doors, windows, shutters), which also requires very good dimensional...
