1. The issue

The NF EN ISO 8402 standard defines traceability as: the ability to trace the history, use and location of an entity or similar entities by means of recorded identifications. The entity in question may be a commodity or information relating to that commodity (date of manufacture, controls, etc.).

Traceability, product authentication and brand protection must take into account the particularities of the Textile and Clothing sector, both in terms of its processes and its industrial structure, which has evolved considerably over the last twenty years .
