3. Hollow body production processes
Since the 1940s, hollow revolution bodies have been made from filament-wound thermoset composites.
Our mastery of mechanics, computer-controlled automation and filament winding technology has been a constant process, and in the space of 60 years we have developed fully-programmable, digitally-controlled machines capable of producing hollow bodies up to 5 m in diameter, and processing 500 kg of composite per hour.
Other less advanced technologies are used to manufacture hollow bodies, such as centrifugal and bladder molding.
Hollow bodies of any shape or revolution are manufactured using the same processes as for TDA, such as filament winding or bladder molding.
