2. Characterization of photochromic properties
Having reviewed the different types of photochromism, as well as the different families of photochromes, it's time to turn our attention to the kinetic and photochemical characteristics, knowledge of which is essential for the application aspects. An important step is to quantitatively measure the spectro-dynamic constants that characterize these photochromic molecules , in particular quantum yields and fatigue resistance.
