7. Conclusion
MOFs, or crystalline hybrid structures, are micro- and/or meso-porous solids with great application potential. This class of solids has enjoyed considerable growth since the end of the 1960s, thanks to their high degree of modularity and numerous properties, often unprecedented in the field of porous solids, but also because they can be manufactured on a large scale under environmentally-friendly conditions.
