BET method; BET method
Model of gas adsorption on a solid (named after the initials of Brunauer, Emmett and Teller), from which the specific surface measurement method was derived. It consists in determining the quantity of gas (often nitrogen) required to form a mono-molecular layer on the entire accessible surface of a solid sample. As the size of the molecules is a specific characteristic of each gas, it is then possible to determine the total surface area of the solid.
voltammetry (or cyclic voltammetry); voltamperometry
Electrochemical technique in which the current response resulting from a continuous variation in the potential of the working electrode on which the electrochemical reaction takes place is recorded.
selective dissolution; dealloying

Standards and norms
IUPAC (International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry) nomenclature defines porosity size in terms of pore diameter: micropores are smaller than 2 nm, mesopores are between 2 and 50 nm and macropores are larger than 50 nm.
