7. Molecular magnets on surfaces
All the studies cited above concern magnet molecules in crystalline or polycrystalline form, i.e. surrounded by neighboring molecules and regularly organized within a crystal. In order to use these molecules in devices, it is necessary to deposit them on a surface and, if possible, organize them there .
This requires skills in surface physicochemistry, in order to identify suitable surfaces and master techniques for the deposition and self-organization of molecules on surfaces.
