Optical fibers can capture changes in their environment very precisely. However, one practical problem is connecting the fibers to optical instrumentation . For multimode fibers, different commercial connectors are available, and the relatively large core diameter reduces the requirements for precise alignment with the optical source. Fibers must be cut precisely to obtain a smooth surface perpendicular to the optical fiber axis, avoiding separation of the core-cladding system. Various studies have been carried out to optimize blade temperature and cutting speed
