4. Geopolymer cement based on slag/fly ash
Raw materials :
blast furnace slag ;
Class F fly ash (CaO < 6%) ;
alkali silicate (user-friendly ).
Geopolymer matrix structure :
Si:Al = 2; crude formulation (K,Na,Ca)-poly(sialate-siloxo); in fact, solid solution of Si:Al = 1, Ca-poly(disialate) (anorthite-like) + Si:Al = 3-5, (Na,K)-poly(sialate-multisiloxo).
The vast majority of studies published to date concern formulations incorporating all aggregates and alkaline ingredients directly into the mixer, without the addition of blast furnace slag.
