5. Spray materials

5.1 The main families of materials

Filler materials are characterized by :

  • their chemical composition ;

  • their form (powder, thread, cord, rod...) ;

  • their size (powder granulometry, wire diameter, etc.);

  • how they are produced.

They are classified according to A81-981 standards into groups, each alloy then being defined by a code. The chemical composition, available forms and application processes are specified for each alloy.
