4. European experience

A literature search identified several LE geothermal projects, primarily in Europe, that have been operating for several years and are therefore particularly useful in identifying potential corrosion and scaling problems for future projects. Furthermore, different materials have been used in these projects which help to identify the performance of potential materials for future projects. Chosen papers include reports and testing data based on the last 30 years industry experience by pipe manufacturers, drilling companies and geothermal production companies.
