Electrolytic oxidation with aluminum as the anode. This process produces barrier or porous oxide layers, depending on the electrolyte chosen.

Anodizing process that produces hard, abrasion-resistant oxide layers.
sulphuric anodizing; anodisation sulfurique
Anodizing process where the electrolyte is sulfuric acid.
colmatage; sealing
The porous anodizing process closes pores and improves the corrosion resistance of anodized metal.
coloration chimique; chemical coloring/dyeing
After anodizing, colored pigments are chemically incorporated into the pores of the coating. This treatment is carried out before sealing....
