2. Other materials
A large number of mineral materials are used in the steel industry, either directly or after processing. This applies to all ores used in the production of alloys and linings, as well as to raw materials used in the manufacture of refractories. The purpose of this paragraph is limited to a brief description of the raw materials used directly, either in the blast furnace's smelting bed or in the steelworks.
