There are no reliable data on bismuth recycling. We can only state with certainty that in the United States, the recovery of alloy scraps represents around 10% of internal bismuth consumption. .
That said, it does not appear that recycling can account for a significant share of supply: the latter depends almost entirely on base metal metallurgy, where bismuth is recovered as a by-product.
