
5. Metallurgy
Antimony metallurgy uses pyro- and hydrometallurgical extraction methods adapted to the nature of the ore (sulfide, oxide or complex) and its antimony content, which can vary from 1.5% to over 60%.
5.1 Pyrometallurgy of stibine and antimony metal
Antimonide products are classified into crude quality products, marketed on the basis of a 70% Sb content, and regule quality products, marketed on the basis of a 99% Sb content.
