In an end-of-life vehicle, 50% of the value comes from non-ferrous metals, even though on average they represent only 9% of the mass.

Average mass of the main non-ferrous metals in a car :

  • zinc 11 kg ;

  • lead 12 kg ;

  • copper 15 kg ;

  • aluminum 50 kg....
