4.1.1 Principle

Using a mechanism identical to that created by welding, hot shrinkage straightening is a simple, effective method that involves very localized heating, either in the skin (thick parts) or in the thickness (thin parts), which generates, through thermal expansion plasticity, a contraction of the plasticized zone as it cools.
