3. Zinc electrolytes

Industrial electrolyte formulations are numerous, and can be broken down into two broad classes of electrolyte, depending on their operating pH: acidic and alkaline. These formulations are justified by thermodynamics [2][15] . Indeed, considering the potential-pH diagram E = f (pH) of the Zn-H 2 O system (figure 1 ), there are two ways to develop a coating:
