Over the past two or three decades, the coatings and surface treatments (RTS) sector has undergone significant technological change, triggered by new technical and/or regulatory requirements or by recent industrial developments :

• increased reliability and durability of treated parts;

• need for new or "improved" materials (appearance, physico-chemical or mechanical characteristics, thermal barriers, etc.);

• the emergence of new processes linked to the development of microelectronics;

• emergence of new concepts...
