INTRODUCTION
Surfaces therefore have great technological and economic importance, which explains the considerable development of work devoted to them, to the point of giving rise to an entire sector of activity, that of "surface science". Knowledge of surfaces has progressed thanks to the design and development of increasingly sensitive and effective characterization methods. Data on surface conditions has enabled us to establish relationships between characteristics and properties of use.
