3. Materials used
In this chapter, we present an overview of the materials that can be processed by microPIM.
3.1 Types of powder materials
A wide variety of materials can now be processed by microPIM, as shown in the table 3 . These include steels, titanium, nickel, copper alloys, precious metals such as gold, tungsten alloys, and ceramics such as alumina and zirconia.
