Table 3 contains for 66 pure metals or semi-metals the experimental values of the surface tension γ at melting temperature T F and of the temperature coefficient γ′ = dγ/dT. For each element, we give a single value of γ and γ′, both values coming from the same experimental study for which we specify the technique used and the bibliographic reference.
For elements for which several γ values have been published, the selection was based on the following criteria:
