6. Conclusion
Spheroidal graphite cast iron, industrially produced since 1948, has undergone significant development in recent years. Foundries have developed the most economical production technologies possible, while improving the reliability of the material's mechanical and physical characteristics. Industrial research and investigations are continuing to develop all possible uses for this material. The different characteristics of these cast irons make them a material of choice for designers, offering additional cost-saving possibilities with a production reliability that can be very easily controlled.
