2.1 Characteristics of industrial alloys
Ni-Ti, Ni-Ti-Cu, Ni-Ti-Nb, Cu-Zn-Al, Cu-Al-Ni, Cu-Al-Be and Fe-Mn-Si alloys are used in industrial applications. The main properties of these alloys are shown in Table 1 , with the exception of those of Ni-Ti-Nb and Cu-Zn-Al, which differ little from those of other alloys in the same family. Most applications use Ni-Ti (§ 2.2 ).
