4. Processing titanium alloys

In this section, we won't go into the details of solid-state shaping, which is covered in [M 685] for thermomechanical treatments and [M 1 335] for heat treatments (see For more information). These techniques take a long time to learn and master, and we recommend that you initially outsource them to specialists.

We'll only cover heat treatment, but we'll go into more detail on pickling, machining and final inspection of parts.
