4. Elaboration

The processes used to produce high-entropy alloys are very similar to those used for so-called traditional alloys. For the time being, AHEs have been produced in small quantities (from a few grams to a few kilograms) using laboratory equipment. However, it should be possible to produce AHE on a larger scale without major difficulties, using existing industrial equipment. AHE production processes can be divided into three categories, depending on the state of the starting mixture: liquid, solid or gaseous.
