2. Actions, combinations, situations, limit states
The justification methods for shallow foundations based on Eurocode 7 and its application standards are semi-probabilistic methods, with safety achieved through partial coefficients.
This method is based on the identification of limit states characterized by a specific combination of actions in a particular situation. These specific actions are of several kinds (see table 2 ).
