3. Energy performance commitment

Project owners are increasingly asking for energy performance commitments to guarantee a specified level of consumption.

There are different types of energy commitment: EPC, GPEI and ERM.

  • CPEs (Contrats de Performance Énergétique - energy performance contracts) apply to renovation projects with a commitment to actual consumption.

  • The GPEI (Garantie de Performance Énergétique Intrinsèque - guarantee of intrinsic energy performance) applies to both new-build and renovation projects, and concerns the project's theoretical consumption rather than actual consumption.

  • GRE (Garantie de Résultat Énergétique) applies to both new-build and renovation projects, and covers actual...
