(from the Greek électron , referring to electricity, and hodós, "a path", literally "a path for electricity"). Interface through which electric current flows between two media of different natures.

phosphene; phosphene

Sensation of sight through the appearance of spots or light in the visual field caused by electrical or mechanical stimulation of the visual pathway. Electrical stimulation of implants can generate phosphenes.
