4. Optical link report

The objective of the optical link is to transport a bit stream from point A to point B QEF (e.g.: packet error rate < 10 -7 or bit error rate < 10 -9 ). The bit error rate (BER) is related to the SNR of the symbols recovered at the decoder input, and to the performance of the decoder (figure 7 ).
