Overview
ABSTRACT
In this article, we have chosen to offer the thermodynamic data of a large number of polymers in the shape of PvT charts. These three essentail parameters appear in the following way: pressure in Bar, the specific v volume in cm3 • g–1 and temperature in Kelvin. Furthermore, the variation of teh specific volume according to temperature is presented for several polymers widely used in the industry. The density can be calculated on the basis of the specifuic volume and allows for qualifying the densification of the polymer. Furthermore, transportation properties such as viscosity or the thermal conduction of Newtonian fluids are very often induced by simple relationships according to density.

INTRODUCTION
In this dossier, we have chosen to represent the thermodynamic data for some polymers in the form of PvT tables, where pressure P is given in bars, specific volume v in cm 3 · g –1 and temperature in kelvins. From the specific volumes, the densities can be calculated in kg · m –3 , applying the relationship: . Densities give a direct picture of polymer densification. In addition, transport properties such as viscosity or heat conduction of Newtonian fluids are often represented by simple relationships as a function of density, and it would be interesting to test these for non-Newtonian fluids.
