1. Main techniques using atomic spectra constants

These are mainly analytical techniques that use the constants of atomic spectra.

The general schematic diagram of analytical spectrochemistry techniques is shown in figure 1 . It comprises three parts:

  • preparation and atomization of the sample to be analyzed;

  • the physical interaction of radiation (lamp, laser, etc.) with the atoms of the atomized analyte;

  • the detection system.
