8. Magnetic properties under alternating flux
Table 7 gives some values of magnetic losses measured under sinusoidal flux at frequencies and maximum induction levels appropriate to the materials concerned. These values correspond to measurements carried out on toroidal-wound ribbons with thicknesses of between 20 and 25 µm; where this is not the case, the thickness is indicated. For measurements at high frequencies , the ribbons are insulated to reduce induced currents. Under non-sinusoidal flux, losses have different values, depending on the waveform.
The last column of the table gives the maximum steady-state operating temperatures....
