6. Conclusion
This dossier describes the basic principles involved in rational silo sizing. From a flow point of view, the ideal silo must be able to store the required quantities of product and ensure a regular flow, without creating chimneys or vaults, and with the desired flow rate. The general methodology for reliable silo sizing can be summarized in the flow chart shown in figure 33 . In many cases, it is difficult to reconcile all these requirements.
