1.1 Unit operations with material transfer

Chemical engineering is divided into two main parts:

  • calculation of the chemical reactors used to synthesize market products (or intermediates);

  • calculation of unit operations for separations :

    • from raw materials (ores, agricultural products),

    • from flows from chemical reactors (separation of reaction products and reagents, for example).
