4. Ternary diagrams of residual curve networks

The analysis of ternary residue curve diagrams is at the heart of design tools for azeotropic or extractive distillation units for non-ideal mixtures. The addition of one-third body E to the A-B mixture enables ternary A-B-E diagrams to be plotted and analyzed graphically.
