4. Industrial applications of circulating fluidized beds
The two major applications for CFLs are coal combustion and catalytic petroleum cracking. However, while these two processes dominate the field of CFL applications in terms of importance, a number of other very popular applications should not be overlooked. Among the other processes currently exploiting the circulating bed technique are :
wood and coal gasification ;
incineration of industrial waste ;
CO 2 absorption;
ore roasting ;
high-temperature calcination.
