6.1 General
The development of the electrodes was based on the following two axes:
reduce electrochemical overvoltage by using electrocatalysts ;
reduce the ohmic drop between electrodes, due to the presence of gas bubbles, by using electrodes with a flap structure to evacuate these bubbles to the rear of the interpolar space.
