INTRODUCTION
Despite the upheavals caused by ecological pressure, the production level of aliphatic chlorine compounds remains very high, as most of them are used as essential intermediates in the manufacture of numerous compounds. In fact, 50% of the tonnages produced by today's global chemical industry are based on chlorine.
The purpose of this article is to describe the various industrial chlorination processes using chlorine, hydrochloric acid or the HCl-O 2 couple (oxychlorination).
