5. Conclusion

Other simulations could have been carried out and, in particular, it would have been interesting to take account of catalyst ageing. The evolution of catalyst activity is often poorly understood. We could also have simulated this synthesis in other types of reactor (fluidized bed) or with other types of feed (staged feed), or by choosing other kinetic models. But the aim of this dossier is to draw the reader's attention to the need to choose the right model for predicting stable reactor operating conditions. This is all the more important when the reactions involved are exothermic.
