3. ND Protocol
The neighbor discovery protocol, NDP , in IPv6 consists of 2 parts.
The first component enables IPv6 nodes on the same network link to exchange information. In particular, it enables nodes to know the physical addresses, Link-Layer Address (LLA), associated with IPv6 addresses (e.g. MAC address), in the same way as the Address Resolution Protocol (ARP)
