2. eIDAS regulation in France
Each Member State of the European Union designates one or more competent bodies to guarantee electronic identification and control trust services.
France has chosen to designate two bodies:
DINSIC (Direction interministérielle du numérique et du système d'information et de communication de l'État) for the electronic identification service;
Agence Nationale de la Sécurité des Systèmes d'Information (ANSSI) for the control of trusted services.
