
2. Main physical level architectures
Level 1 architectures are symbolized by the diagram shown in figure 2 . This diagram shows that all intermediate transfer nodes work at the physical level. A priori, the same frame is transported from end to end. In fact, it is possible to change the structure of the frame in level 1 architectures, if the frame is not at any time examined for information needed to determine the path to follow.
