6.1 Specific features of embedded software
As with all software development, embedded system designers use assemblers, compilers and debuggers to develop software for these systems. Software tools can come from a variety of sources:
companies specializing in software for embedded systems;
developments from the GNU ;
development tools for personal computers, when the processor used is close to one used in PCs.
