2. Industry 4.0

In France and abroad, the term Industrie 4.0 has many synonyms: smart factory, "factory of the future", connected factory, etc., and does not have a universal definition. A study carried out by the German association of digital companies Bitkom in 2014, for example, identifies no fewer than 104 different definitions, characterizations and descriptions of the concept in its Industry 4.0 presentation document .
